District Registrar is the title of the head of the office of the district registrar office. The activities of the office are as follows:-
(a) Supervise the activities of the Sub-Registrars of the district and give necessary directions;
(b) appointment, transfer, promotion, regularization of 3rd and 4th class employees under the district;
(c) to inspect the offices of the Sub-Registrar and audit the accounts;
(d) providing for the issuance, renewal and, where applicable, cancellation of certificates of Deed writers for the offices of the Sub-Registrar;
(e) hearing and deciding appeals against registration of documents refused by the Sub-Registrar;
(f) Supervising the activities of Nikah Registrars and performing their indent functions and
(g) Recruiting Extra Moharrir's as per registration manual.
